Mrs. Alice Mae Stout, 90, of 9919 Paddock Lane, Walkersville, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at Northampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick, after a brief illness.
Born April 19, 1916, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late John and Jenny Lowe Pittinger. She was the wife of Wilbur E. Stout, who predeceased her in 1954. Mrs. Stout was a member of Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was formerly employed with Shriners Sewing Factory of Woodsboro and then H.L. Hartz of Frederick. She had previously attended Woodsboro Food and Friends. Mrs. Stout enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, cooking and canning and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda Eyler and husband Richard of Walkersville; grandson, Jeffrey Eyler and wife Tasha of Walkersville; great-grandson, Jarred Eyler; and sister, Mary E. Beard of Woodsboro.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, David and Daniel Pittinger.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, with the Rev. Dorothy Lundgren, her pastor, officiating.
