Henry Avorn Pardue, 85, died Sunday at 10:05 a.m. in an Alexandria hospital. He was a farmer and a native of Union parish. Funeral services will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Becky D. Pardue, Pineville; three sons, W.N. Pardue and Edwin Pardue, both of Port Arthur, Tex., and Avorn Pardue, Pineville; three daughters, Mrs. Edna P. Blackburn, Pineville, Mrs. Thelma P. Stokes, Alexandria, and Mrs. Mary Lee P. Logan, Ethel; two brothers, D.S. Pardue, Pineville, and Eugene H. Pardue Port Arthur, a sister, Mrs. Effie Cook, Alexandria, 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren."
