Mrs. Alice B. Bittler, 87, died
at her home, 1310 North Market
Street, Frederick, Monday after
a short illness. She had been in
failing health for a year. Mrs. Bitt-
ler was born in Frederick Coun-
ty, a daugter of the late Michael J.
and Margaret Ellen Werking Hahn.

She was a well known' seamstress.
Surviving are her husband.
Harry Bittler; two daughters, by
a former marriage, Mrs. Katherine
Larrimore, at home and
Mrs. Roger L. Kling, Walkers-
ville; five brothers, C. Clayton
Hahn, Frederick; Newton W.
Hahn, Hanover, Pa.; Glenn G.
Hahn. Claude S. Hahn, and Pres-
ton L. Hahn and one sister, Mrs.
Edwin Bowers, all of Frederick;
two granddaughters and two great
grandchildren and a number of
nieces and nephews.
