Bruce graduated from Gonzales High School in 1971 and began a lifelong career in the poultry hatchery and egg production business. His first job was with Cal-Maine in Gonzales, Texas. He successfully worked for other poultry companies in Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri and most recently in Nebraska for Hendrix where Bruce was involved in the development and construction of an $18 million egg hatchery facility. He was well respected in his field and enjoyed his work.
Bruce married his wife, Debbie, on February 6, 1999, after meeting her at the bank in Berryville, Arkansas. They enjoyed 23 loving years together with Debbie being his devoted caretaker during his illness.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father Fred Tyre Brown, Sr., his step-father, Lewis Eckols, and nephew, Laval Brown. He is also preceded by his grandparents.
Because of the current COVID situation, a private graveside burial is being planned.
Due to current CDC and State mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the graveside burial.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales, Texas.
