Wife of Bird Bennett Wilkins- Married on
5 Sep 1920. She was 15 and he was 24.
Cause of Death Consumption. At the age 17.
Daughter of Samuel Thomas Wolfe and Lydia Ann Nettie (Nickname Liddy) (Phelps) Wolfe.

Pearl Wolfe married a man named Bird Wilkins around 1920.
The Marion County Record of Marriages has this entry:
Wolfe, Pearl Age 18 married December 15, 1920 to Wilkins, Bird Age 24 Book F Page 73 Line 1629

Pearl was a fairly small girl who also had long black
hair. Pearl got sick with what was called consumption at the time.
Her husband decided to take her to Arizona to let her recover. They made this trip in a Model A or Model T. They got out there and after awhile Pearl wasn't getting better and wanted to come home. They started back and broke down in Oklahoma or Missouri. They found
somebody to fix there car but had no money, so Bird gave the man who fixed the car a bunch of the tools he had brought along. They made it back to Illinois and not too long after that Pearl died.

Special thanks to Kerry Stuber and his Grandmother with an amazing memory for the wonderful story on my Great Aunt Pearl.
