Alta Bowers passed away Wednesday after a short illness. She was born in Newalla, OK, the fourth of twelve children. Preceding her in death are her husband Walt Bowers, parents Taylor and Maryetta Kimery, and eight siblings. Alta was active in many civic and charitable groups, Daughters of the Nile and Jr. Hospitality. She is survived by three sisters, Geneva Dingus, Betty Janko, Vivian Cline, her daughters Carolyn Goulette, JoAnn DeShields and grandson Tony McCormack and great grandchildren Joshua McCormack and TonyJo McCormack. Alta loved to travel with her sisters and daughters, but this is a journey she must take alone. Private family memorial to be scheduled at a later date.
