Roxie Rasar Rogers, 97, of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at N.H.C. of Oak Ridge. She was a member of South Holston Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Ed Rogers; son, Roy Rogers Sr.; great-granddaughter, Summer Nicole Dutton; twin sister, Rada Munsey along with one brother and five other sisters.
She is survived by her children, Jack Rogers and wife, Pat of Lenoir City, Betty Skidmore and husband, Hank of Orlando, Fla., Raymond Rogers and wife, Tonie of Oak Ridge, Paul Rogers and wife, Betty of Lenoir City; special daughter-in-law, Maudie Rogers; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family received friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m. with Rev. Herbert Lee and Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Family and friends gathered at 11 a.m. Friday in Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
