Mrs. Mitchell was born, September 15, 1912, to John Ellison Pruet and Rubye Gunn Pruet in Putnam, Texas. -- She married Ralph Hermann Mitchell, March 21, 1941, in Erath County, Texas. Mrs. Mitchell was a retired school teacher and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Her favorite hobby was buying and selling antique lamps. -- She is survived by her son, Dr. Gary Mitchell of Wimberley, Texas; graddaughters, Misty Rose Mitchell and Robin Renee Mitchell, both of Wimberley, Texas; sisters, Earlene Clark of Boerne, Texas, and Roberta Isenhower of Putnam, Texas; numerous nieces, and nephews. -- Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mitchell; sons, Kenneth Mitchell and Ronald Mitchell; brothers, Arnold Pruet and John Allen Pruet; sister, Willie Grace Mundt; and nephew, Jerry Mundt. -- A chapel service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Bartlett officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. -- Public visitation will begin 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and continue until 8:00 p.m. -- Memorial contributions may be given in Wilna's Memory to the Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174. -- Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, Canyon Lake, Texas."
