Mrs. Ryan had been a resident of Delta for 84 years. She worked for the Delta County Clerk and Recorder's Office for many years. She then worked for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, retiring in 1966.
She was born March 12, 1901, to Alfred J. and Elizabeth C. Hammond Willis in Wakefield, Kan. She moved with her family to Delta in 1905 by covered wagon. She attended Delta schools and graduated from the Business College in Delta.
She married Thomas F. Ryan on March 17, 1924, in Delta. He died on March 22, 1973.
Mrs. Ryan attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Delta. She was a member of the T & R Club. She enjoyed dogs and cats, and loved being with people.
Survivors include a son, Tom of Delta; a brother, H. Simon Willis of Delta; a sister, Florence Pierson of Olathe; and many nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, William, James and Robert; and a sister, Vera Pope, are deceased.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Olsen officiating. Burial will follow in Delta City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight.
