CLARK, S-Sgt. Tommy Joe of Rockdale. Age 23. Died 12/16/1968. He was killed in an artillery shell explosion in Vietnam. Services held (Monday) at Murray Street Church of Christ, Rockdale. Burial in IOOF Cemetery. Minister Milton Pogue and Minister Harold Hunt officiated. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was a graduate of Rockdale High School and member of school's 1962 state finalist football team. He entered the U.S. Army in 1964 and served in Korea from 8/1965 to 8/1966. He was stationed at Ft.Hood on his return from Korea and remained there until he was sent to Vietnam on 3/23/1968. Member of the Murray Street Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Wife of Rockdale; son, John Richard Clark of Rockdale; parents, M/M Howard Vernon Clark of San Saba; brother, Jack Clark of Rockdale; 2 sisters, Mrs. Claude Collier and Mrs. Taylor Holland, both of Rockdale.
