To this union were born seven children as follows: Dennis W., of Washington; Mary Varner, of Correctionville, Iowa; Ike Alder, formerly of Nebraska, but now deceased; Flora Blinkard, of Montana; Perry Alder, of Mississippi; James L. and Pierce Alder, of Maxwell. Only three of the children, Mrs. Varner, James L. and Pierce Alder, were present at the funeral. In 1892 Mrs. Alder was married to Nathan Palmer, who died in 1900. Mrs. Palmer went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Varner, nearly two years ago, and was at that place when called home on December 3, 1914 . Mrs. Palmer was converted in early youth and was a faithful Christian through life, always kind and doing for others what she to make them happy.
