He was born Dec. 25, 1931, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Raymond E. and Dora Mae (Johnson) Watts.
Ray was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Marines as a radio operator. He retired from M. W. Farmer & Co. as a petroleum technician. He was a member of the American Legion, was of Methodist faith, and loved hunting, fishing, Penn State football, sitting on his porch, watching birds and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Jacques and Robert.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Katherine E. Adams; children: Kurt A. Watts of Bloomsburg, Allen G. Watts of Baltimore, Renee K. (Michael) McNutt of Montoursville and Raymond A. Watts Jr. of Montoursville; six grandchildren: Koren Reynolds, Geno (Toriann) Cillo, Brenden McNutt, Alexander Watts, Annalees Watts and Brooke McNutt; and a great-grandchild, Iris Ann Cillo.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
