Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon in the Chapel National funeral home in St. Paul for Emil Alexander Ylinen, 34, son of Mrs. Anna Ylinen of Brainerd, who died Friday at 1:45 o'clock pm in the Anchor hospital. Interment was in Elmhurt cemetery.
Mr. Ylinen was born January 16, 1904, in Ashtabula, Ohio. He came to Brainerd in his infancy. In 1923 he married Miss Madge Havens and five children were born to the couple. He resided in Brainerd until 10 years ago when he moved to St. Paul with his family.
Survivors are the mother, Mrs. Anna Ylinen; his wife, five children, Gerald, Ruth, Kenneth, David and Joan, all at home; four half brothers, Albert of Toronto, Frank of Duluth, William and John of Brainerd; two brothers, Arvo of St. Paul and Laurie of Moline, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Herman Peterson, Mrs. Elwood Johnson, Mrs. Joe Koeppl, Jr., of Brainerd and Ann Ylinen of Ironwood, Mich.
His father and two brothers preceded him in death.
