Mr. Leonard Floyd Carpenter, 87 passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Forrest Oaks Healthcare in Albemarle.
He was born January 25, 1926 in Cabarrus County son of the late Floyd G. Carpenter and Mary Robinson Carpenter. He was a brick mason and carpenter. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Wilbert (Bill), and Ray Carpenter and son, Bobby Glenn Carpenter and wife Tene Liman Carpenter.
He is survived by brothers, Marion Carpenter of Salisbury, Calvin Carpenter of Mt. Pleasant, and Floyd Carpenter of Winston Salem, sisters, Helen Benton of Kannapolis and Fannie Mae Stegall of WVA.
No funeral services are planned at this time.
