After he was discharged, he went to work for Philco, which later was bought by RCA. He travelled the world as part of the team to build the Defense Early Warning system (D.E.W.) by erecting a satellite tracking system in several key places around the world, including New York City, Paris, France, The Aleutian Islands, Alaska, and the Seychelle Islands, Africa.
Later, the RCA Philco division was purchased by Ford, and became part of the Ford Aerospace division, where he continued to work on various government contracts.
He was a Major in Civil Air Patrol, squadron 114 in San Jose, CA and was an avid ham radio operator.
He later was involved with the introduction of Cable Television, and a building contractor.
He is survived by his five children from his first marriage, and a son from his second marriage, as well as his 2 adopted children from his second marriage. Also surviving are a sister, Sandy Williamson and 2 half brothers, Howard and John.
