Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Taylor for over 45 years. He was a devout Christian who lived his beliefs each day of his life. Joe was a happy, kind hearted man who was always smiling and definitely a "kid at heart". He loved playing with his grandchildren and was a very active grandparent. Joe attended all of their sporting events, gladly involved in their lives and was always there to lend advice and a caring heart when necessary. Dessie says he was the utmost gentleman, the best husband, the love of her life, her very best friend ever, and of course he spoiled her. He adored his family and they always came first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Joe loved gardening, his yard, and the outdoors. He will greatly missed by the many relatives and friends who loved him.
