He is preceded in death by his parents, one (1) son, Michael Lakebrink, along with seven (7) siblings, Joseph Lakebrink, George Lakebrink, Francis Unnerstall, Bernice Mayes, Dorothy Lakebrink, and 2 infant siblings.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight (68) years, Margeva “Marge” Lakebrink of Union, Missouri (Married January 26, 1952),
his daughter, Linda (husband, Dennis) Andrae of Villa Ridge,
four (4) grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon) Lakebrink, Amy (Scott) Hoerchler, Jessica (Christopher) Golet and Angela (Joseph) Sudduth,
nine (9) great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hoerchler, Stephen Hoerchler, Ethan Golet, Allison Lakebrink, Andrae Sudduth, Grant Sudduth, Gavin Golet, Cameron Lakebrink and Walker Sudduth,
one (1) sister, Dolores Fritzmeyer,
one (1) daughter-in-law, Karen Stough,
and many other relatives and friends.
Alex was a man of faith and is remembered as an Elder at Dittmer Community of Christ Church. Many will also recall his commitment to hard work as a heavy equipment operator with IUOE Local 513. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30 Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Service Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
