Son of Willie Ray and Emma Jane (Webb) Ruperd.

He was born at 8 a.m. in Pompeii, Newark Township, Gratiot County, Michigan. He worked for the N.W. Cooperate & Labor Company in Gladstone in 1936. After 1945, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for a road construction company in Illinois.

He married Ruth Hood on July 4, 1936, in Gladstone, Michigan.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on 8 Dec 1942 and was discharged on 17 Oct 1944.

He was found dead in his pickup truck on Dec. 28, 1983, in Escanaba. The cause of death is a massive left hemothorax as a consequence of a ruptured thoracic aortic aneurysm, according to the death certificate.
