~JIMMY DAN "RUSTY" LIVELY~
Was the son of Artie Clois Lively & Travis Louise (Yates) Lively

Jimmie Dan “Rusty” Lively passed away at age 68 on June 13, 2020 at his home in Grapeland, Texas. Born on August 26, 1951 in Percilla, Texas, Rusty was a twin to his sister Elizabeth Ann. He lived in Houston, Texas for many years, working as a welder for Local 211. He loved welding and working with his hands. An authentic country cowboy, he had a lifelong love of horses, and enjoyed riding and training horses during his retirement years back home in Grapeland. A bit of a flirt, Rusty was a talented dancer and liked taking ladies for a spin on the dance floor. He was very artistic and spent many hours sketching horses and western scenes. Rusty also enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends and siblings, as much for the competition as for the friendly banter. However, Rusty’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren, and he shared his love of horses with them. His fiery personality will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Rusty is survived by his nine siblings and their spouses; Preston and LaVon Lively, LaDoyce Jenkins, Winnia Powell, Ohtis Ivey, Don Lively, Gwen and Lynette Lively, Kay and Joe Daniels, Ann and Gordon Rich, and Artie Gene and Deb Lively; daughters Amanda Lively and Desiree Garcia (spouse Edward); grandchildren Averi Bovey, Aidyn Bovey, Destiny Fontenot, Chelsea Fontenot and Katlynn Garcia; and great grandson Issac Torres.

He was preceded in death by his father Artie Lively and mother Travis Louise “Pete” Yates Lively.

A memorial service will be held at the pavilion at Evergreen Cemetery .

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster.
