John Russell Langston, 90, of Morriston, Arkansas passed from this life at his home in Morriston, Arkansas on June 13, 2020. Russell was born on January 12, 1930 to Leonard Forest Langston and Letha Beatrice (Plumlee) Langston in Franklin, Arkansas.

Russell was united in marriage to Wilma Francis Everett on December 8, 1951 in Morriston, Arkansas. Russell was a lifelong farmer who ran one of the most successful farms in the area along with his wife, brother, and other family members. Russell liked to jew and trade and a good trade brought a sparkle to his eye. Russell was recently baptized into the Church of Christ on May 7, 2020. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Russell is survived by his brother, Lowell Langston of Morriston, Arkansas; son, Larry Langston and wife Vickie of Morriston, Arkansas; daughter, Teresa Conner of Morriston, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Tania Wallace and husband Rusty of Morriston, Arkansas, Brent Langston and wife Julia of Glencoe, Arkansas, and Tyler Conner of Morriston, Arkansas; four great grandchildren, Blaine Wallace, Brenna Wallace, Trevor Langston, and Zachary Langston; special thanks to caregiver, Judy Dunaway; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, son (Alan Wade Langston), parents, great grandson (Breten Russell Wallace) and son-in-law (Bill Conner).

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Art Smith officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Morriston Cemetery in Morriston, Arkansas. Pallbearers are James Abney, Doug Harber, Dean Abney, Tyler Conner, Jack Bristow, and Brent Langston. Honorary pallbearers are Blaine Wallace, Rusty Wallace, Hayden Phillips, Garland Phillips, Ray Plumlee, Richard Harber, and Jay Ward. Memorials may be made to the Morriston Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
