Wilma Lucile Atteberry was the youngest of 16 children born on Feb. 3, 1911 to Thomas Jefferson Atteberry and melissa Eveline Johnston Atteberry. She and her twin brother, Thomas O'Neil were called "Sister" and "Buster" by all their sisters and brothers and even the neices and nephews years later. Wilma moved from Alabama to California where she met Delph Lewis Smith. They fell in love and married, a marriage which laster over 50 years. The family had three children and many grandchildren.
