Died Saturday night, July 11, 1914, at Jacksonville, Miss May A. Faith. The remains will be brought to Springfield today and taken to the family residence, 232 East Allen street, from where the funeral services will be held. Miss Faith, with her mother, for a number of years conducted a book store at 212 South Seventh street and was known as the veteran business woman of Springfield. For several years the store was conducted in Adams street between Sixth and Seventh streets, and later was removed to South Seventh street. Within a short distance of St. Mary's school, the keeper handled Catholic school books, and was known to hundreds of pupils who have attended the school.

Miss Faith has been in failing health for some time. The news of her death will come as a shock to her many friends in Springfield. The decedent is survived by her mother, one sister, Mrs. T. J. Gaynor of Springfield and one brother, Joseph Faith, who resides in Chicago. IL State Journal, Springfield, IL 7-12-1914
