Harris William Fleming, 78, of Owens Cross Roads, died Sunday at his residence.

The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Cave Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Yarbrough and the Rev. Jerry Parvin officiating. Burial was to be in Moon Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Callie Esmer Irvin Fleming; two sons, William C. [Bill] Fleming of Huntsville and Joe Edward Fleming of Horton; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Wharton of Huntsville and Mrs. Mildred Lang of Owens Cross Roads; two brothers, Harry McCown of Michigan and Walter McCown of Huntsville; two sisters, Mrs. Cora M. Land of Huntsville and Mrs. Mirian Cope of Birmingham; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
