The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Tuesday, January 15, 1946:

Mrs Sallie E. Nelson, 81, of 400 1/2 NE 11, died early Friday in Wesley Hospital. Mrs Nelson was born in Gleason, Tenn., and came to Lehigh, Coal County, in 1909. She lived in Denison, TX and Idabel, McCurtain County, before moving to Oklahoma City in 1923.

A member of the Methodist Church, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs Bonnie L. Coleman, 400 1/2 NE 11; and four grandchildren, Mrs Louise McBride of Fort Worth, Mrs Maurice Lee of Memphis, Frank E. Coleman of Los Angeles, and Charles J. Townsend , 923 N. Robinson. Services were held at 4 pm Saturday in Street & Draper Funeral Home. Burial was made Monday in Rose Hill Cemetery.
