Ronald Jack Baker, age 79, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and of the Freewill Baptist Faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Baker was a retired coal miner and retired from Clinchfield Coal Company where he worked at McClure 1. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Baker; his son, Greg Baker; his parents, Walter and Violet Ward Baker; two sisters, Joyce Hayes and Patricia Newberry; his sister in law, Joddy Baker; his niece, Tina Wagner; and his nephew, Mike Baker.

Survivors Include:

Daughter: Rhonda (Darrol) Poston of Haysi, Virginia

Three Brothers: Doug (Nancy) Baker, Eugene (Mavis) Baker, and Larry (Patsy) Baker

One Sister: Sheila (Ron) Phipps

Granddaughters: Whitley Poston, Caroline Poston, and Jillian (Josh) Evans

Great Grandchildren: Alivia, Anistyn, and August

Daughter In Law: Anita Baker

A host of nieces and nephews

Family is asked to meet at Mullins Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 1:50 p.m. for procession to The Baker Family Cemetery, Baker Ridge Section, Clintwood, Virginia. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Eugene Baker will officiate. Burial will follow.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Buck Duty, Carol Ray Baker, Randy Beverly, Harold Lee Stanley, Junior Hill, G. D. Hill, and Ronnie Brown.

Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Baker family.
