Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Susan K. Hoskins. He is survived by his father, John L. Hoskins Jr; one son; one brother; one sister; and one aunt.
Larry was a decorated Army retiree. He served for 25 years in three branches of the United States military. He served in the United States Navy, The National Guard, and finally in the United States Army as an EMT. Larry was a veteran of Desert Storm. He also served in Kuwait and in Iraq.
Larry loved life and is remembered for his infectious smile, his enthusiastic stories and huge heart.
At this time, there will be no formal funeral services. The family will have a small gathering at his gravesite at a later date per Larry's request. Larry's final resting place will be at the Marion National Cemetery.
