Mona met and married Ronald “Ron” Miles of Cozad NE on February 2, 1964. They moved to Omaha, and she stayed at home to be with her three children.
After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, Mona entered the workforce. She was a hardworking, successful woman. She worked in various fields, including retail, clerical, and insurance.
She retired after 20 plus years at Design Basics LLC, a home plan design company.
During Mona’s lifetime, she enjoyed creativity by drawing, baking, gardening, and ceramics. She participated in activities and classes at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millard. The past ten years, she attended Stony Brook Church. Mona loved reading, feeding the birds, and watching the squirrels stealing the bird food, but most of all spoiling her dogs, Puttles, Princess, Abby, and grand-dogs Winnie and Tilly.
She was there for you when you needed her. She baked meals, desserts, cakes, and cookies and take them to work, friends, her children’s school, and her Amy Circle family. Mona loved being outside and always had a big smile or a wave heading your way. She may even have had a really conversation with you on the phone, at the grocery store, after church, across the fence, or around Amy Circle. She loved her family, friends, co-workers, and life in general. Without a doubt, the world will be forever changed – Mona will be genuinely missed!
