Alfred Daniel Weller was the 12th child of the Rev. Reginald H. Weller and Emma Amanda Look Weller. He was born in Jacksonville during Reconstruction, migrated over to the panhandle of Florida, then to Mississippi and Alabama before returning to St. Andrews which was later incorporated into Panama City. He was elected State Representative but found he could not run his business and town at the same time. He married Carrie Lee Godfrey of the Crary family in Bluff Springs. Together they had six children, five of whom are buried in the same plot with him in Pensacola. He was a fine, upstanding, and honest man.
