BUHL - Fay Hunt, 79, of Buhl, died Tuesday of an extended illness.
Born September 8, 1906 in Bunkerville, Nevada. He attended schools there. He moved to Roseworth in 1921 and then to the Buhl area in 1928 where he farmed until his death. He served a mission in Kentucky from 1927 to 1929. He married Nellie Roberts in 1929. They were later divorced. He married Laura Nelson in November 1951 in Idaho Falls. He was a member of the 3rd Ward LDS Church where he held positions as Sunday School Superintendent and Executive Secretary.
Surviving are: his wife of Buhl; four sons, Richard Hunt of Kimberly, Howard Hunt of Pocatello, Duane Hunt of Paul, and Jeff Hunt of Leadore; three daughters, Dixie Smith of Toppenish, Washington, Pauline Bigler of Snowflake, Arizona, and Helen Anderson of Buhl; one brother, Paul Hunt of Wendell; four sisters, Ava Brown and Golda Roberts, both of Buhl, Elnora Blackburn of Wendell, and Verda Skeem of Inkom; 39 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Buhl 3rd Ward LDS Church on Fair Street. Burial will follow at the West End Cemetery.
