Verne was the youngest son of Alfred and Gladys Peasley Grant. He was young when his mother died.


Uncle Verne was a quiet man. He never married and he would travel the world during the summers. He would always bring back gifts for everyone. My children still have the gifts that their Great Uncle Verne brought back from Africa, Holland and Australia and other places. I miss him very much and miss his letters and phone calls.
