Born in Akron to the late Jacob and Alice Hoffman, he was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Ceramic Guild.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Treece); son, Gene of Tallmadge; daughter, Margaret George of Akron; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl Dean Hoffman in 1966.

Adams Funeral Home for services on Saturday at 10 a.m. with burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
