It was first reported that Mr. Tope committed suicide but it was later determined that he died of epilepsy. His immediate family died not have the funds to process the remains. So, the burial was postponed to hear from relatives in Jonesboro, Illinois. No message was received from the family, so he was buried in the cemetery east of the city.
