He also participated in Special Olympics at both the local and state levels, proudly sporting many medals. Joe was an avid follower of NASCAR and it was quite obvious that Tony Stewart was his favorite driver. He enjoyed bowling, basketball, boating and swimming; and spent many hours riding his three-wheeler and chauffeuring his great-nephews around on the family golf cart. He was a fan of country music and the signature voice of Johnny Cash. Joe always enjoyed spending time with his family and he will truly be missed by those who dearly loved him.
