"Sarah was born 29 Dec 1847 in Jackson County, OH, the 6th of 12 children. She moved with her family to Jasper County, Illinois in 1852.

Sarah Ann Foster married twice: her first husband was Jeremiah Holm from Illinois, who fought in the Civil War.

Her second husband whom she married about 1882-1883 in Illinois was Taylor Randolph.

There is a letter from Illinois written by Taylor Randolph to his new mother-in-law Mary "Polly" Trexler Foster in Oregon where he mentions his new brother-in-law John V. Foster (#18195713), formerly of Oregon, but now back living in Jasper County.

In an Oregon attorney's letter pertaining to the Oregon estate of her deceased bachelor brother Thomas H. Foster (#5043198), her date of death is stated as 19 Jan 1926, dying in the same year just ten months before Thomas. Sarah Randolph is named as his deceased sister. Her children became the heirs of her portion of Thomas' estate."
