Dr. H. L. Donsife, at one time one
of the prominent physicians of the
county, died this morning at Montevue
Hospital, following injuries received
by being scalded in a bath tub
yesterday afternoon between three
and four o'clock at the institution.
Whether death was accidental or
intentional officials have not been
able to ascertain.
It was stated this morning that Dr.
Donsife has been in the habit of going
to the bath room for the purpose
of taking baths. Whether he turned
on the hot water and intentionally
ended his life, or whether he found
out too late that the water was too
hot, is a question.
Dr. Donsife was scalded over the
right shoulder and down the right
side of the hip. It is believed that
the shock attending upon the case
also figured in bringing about his
death.
The physician was in the sevonty
fourth year of his age, and yesterday
was about the institution as usual
He has been at Montevue since March
31, 1909.

of Woodsboro and has a large family
connection. He is survived by two
brothers, Otho and Genoa Donsife
and also several sisters.
