On December 17, 1945, he was united in marriage to Erma Thomas. Following their marriage they lived in Raytown, Missouri for a time before moving back to the farm near Cable Ridge, Missouri. In 1960 they moved to Warsaw where Charley worked the farm while also being a carpenter for many many years. Charley and Erma were married for almost 70 years. They both passed from this life on June 2nd, exactly five years apart.
Charley and Erma were baptized in 1942 and faithfully lived a Christian life, attending worship at the Church of Christ. They were a wonderful example to their family and community.
Charley was a farmer through and through. He had a dairy farm for years while raising four boys. They needed chores so the dairy farm was a good fit. Charley also worked as a carpenter in the Warsaw area, building and repairing houses until he was nearly 70 years old.
Charley is preceded in death by his wife, parents, seven brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.
He is survived by four sons, Danny and his wife Carol of Republic, Darrell and his wife Marcy Jo of Saint Peters, Delmar and his wife Cindy of Republic and Denton and Anna of Waco, Texas. Thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. Charley has no surviving brothers or sisters.
Funeral Services for Charles M. Cline will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Graveside Services and Interment will follow the funeral at the Cable Ridge Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri.
