Janice Marie Kennedy was the only child of Walter Keel Kennedy and Marie C. Corn. She graduated from the Andrews School for Girls-Willoughby, Lake Co., OH. After her parents divorced, she went to stay with her father. She worked as a retail clerk in Canton, Stark Co., OH. She married Harold Arthur Raasch. They had three children: Craig Linford, Timothy Dirk and Cheryl Ann.
