He is survived by his wife, Abenicia, all the family home; mother-in-law, Fedelina Espinoza, of Denver; 5 Sons, Lucas Lujan and wife, Jane, Meliton Lujan Jr. and wife, Alice, Armando Lujan and wife, Mary Louise, Dennis Lujan and wife, Mary Jean, and Gene Lujan and wife, Antonia, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lucy Aragon and husband, Johnny, of Las Vegas; four brothers Trevinio Lujan of Brighton, Colorado, Prospero Lujan, Benito Lujan and Benjamin Lujan, all of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vivian Lujan in 1979, and Gabriel Lujan in 1975.
Mr. Lujan was born in Canoncito on April 11, 1914, and was the son of the late Lucas and Sarita Salas Lujan. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and La Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus.
Rosary devotional services will be conducted this evening at 7:30 from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow in the Catholic Church in Canoncito with the following grandsons serving as casket bearers: Joseph Lujan, Leroy Lujan, William Lujan, Gerald Lujan, Gene Lujan Jr. and a nephew Randy Salazar Jr.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rogers Mortuary.
