October 2, 1930 — January 20, 2015

Mr. Pervie Vernon Garner, age 84, of Cedarbrook Lane in Robbins, Passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his home.

He was the son of the late Bessie Garner & Annie Ritter Garner. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife- Hazel D. Garner; Brothers- Ervin, Hubert, and Cleve Garner; Sisters- Iola Williams & Zora Mashburn; and Great-grandson-Kale Singleton.

Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Friday January 23, 2015 at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins with Rev. John Williamson and Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors with Randolph County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 1:45pm at the church, and other times at the home.

He was a Truck Driver with Robbins Mill, Amertron, and Burlington Industries. Mr. Garner was a member of Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins, where he had served as a Deacon. He was also a farmer and loved to hunt Deer and Elk. He was a Veteran in the Marine Corps. He also loved his family and was a great provider for them.

Mr. Garner is survived by Sons- Keith Garner of the home, Boyd Garner & wife Gaylene of Robbins; Daughter- Joy Garner of Salisbury; Grandchildren-7 and Great-grandchildren-10; and his beloved dog Casey.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that Memorials be made to Donor's choice.
