Edward H. SPONENBERG, eighty-two, Bloomsburg R.D.2, died yesterday morning at seven-thirty. Death was very sudden. He had been in ill health for the past six months.

Born in Briar Creek Township, he was a farmer all of his life. He retired about five years ago.

He is survived by his wife, five sons, Griffith, Catawissa R.D.2; Edward Jr., and James, Danville R.D.4; Wilbur, Bloomsburg R.D.2; David, Bloomsburg; two daughters, Mrs. William Klinger, Berwick; Mrs. Victor NEIDIG, Paxinos R.D.1; three step-daughters, Mrs. Mary WRIGHT, Bloomsburg R.D.5; Mrs. Roy ROBERTS, Middletown; Mrs. Joseph LIPOVSKY, Danville R.D4; a step-son, Reber KRUM, Bloomsburg; fifty-four grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lela VARNER, Berwick R.D.1.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at one-thirty at the Baker funeral home, Bloomsburg, with Rev. D. L. Bomboy, Lutheran pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Summer Hill cemetery.
