Daughter of Joe Brown, per her death certificate, which shows her name as Joe Ansley, but looks like and was transcribed as Joe Antley. Her obituary is blurry and hard to read but shows her name as Mrs. Joe Anxley and her son David Schumpert Ansley's name as J. D. Anxley in error.

Josephine C Brown married R. D. Ansley on 6 Oct 1874 in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. R. D. Ansley's first marriage was to M. Y. Staples on 5 Jan 1872 in Caddo Parish.
