Bernard "Buddy" Selma Dunaway Jr. AUGUST 19, 1941; MARCH 7, 2015

DUNAWAY, Jr., Bernard Selma "Buddy", 73, of Montgomery, passed away Saturday March 7, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday March 13th at 1:00 PM at the Prattville First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Allen Bledsoe officiating. Mr. Dunaway was born August 19, 1941 to the late Bernard Selma Dunaway, Sr. and Mattie Merle Dunaway. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served in the Dominican Republic where he was awarded the Bronze Star medal for service above and beyond the call of duty. He graduated from Auburn University in 1968 with a degree in Business Management. He was retired from the U.S. Civil Service after working as an accountant at Maxwell-Gunter AFB for many years. He loved to fish and enjoyed many other sporting events, especially Auburn Football. He is survived by his daughter Robyn Montgomery of Montgomery; a son and daughter in law, Jeff and Shea Dunaway of Prattville; a brother, Guy Dunaway of Blakely, Georgia; four grandchildren Mason Dunaway, Logan Dunaway, Pierce Montgomery , Landon Montgomery and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
