Mrs. Agnes E. Ambs, West Jefferson street, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital. She was born in Springfield and resided here all her life. She was a member of St. Agnes Altar and Rosary society and the Legion of Mary. Her husband, John, preceded her in death five years ago.
Surviving are four daughters, Miss Julia Ambs, city; Mrs. Marie Jennings, city; Mrs. Elanore Anderson, Robertsdale, Ala.; Mrs. Estelle Sitz, Chicago; two sons, John, city; Leo Ambs, Omaha, Neb.; sister Mrs. Hattie Hanselman, Alhambra, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
