He was born July 29, 1886 in Spruce Hill Township in Juniata County, a son of John and Caroline (Steward) Imes. He never married.
Imes was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church of Spruce Hill. He was a farmer all his life.
Three sisters survive: Miss Mary Imes of Norristown, Mrs. Lillian Dumm of Mount Union, and Mrs. Wilson Hockenberry of Mapleton, R. D.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 1, at the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. John Carew, pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Mount Union will officiate and burial will be made in the Methodist Cemetery at Spruce Hill.
