Georgia R. Knecht, 83 of Bushnell, FL, passed away on May 21, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Amelia, OH, daughter of the late Owen and Mildred Stockton.
Georgia was a longtime member of Indian Hill Baptist Church in Bushnell and also a member of Stagecoach Junction Fellowship in Bushnell.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis Knecht of Bushnell, son, Richard “Rick” Knecht I and his wife Cathy of Inverness, FL; daughters, Connie Rae Hewett and her husband Jerry of Port St. Lucie, FL and Debbie Lee Mick of Nobelton, FL; brothers, Owen Stockton of Mt. Orab, OH and Richard Stockton of Bethel, OH; sisters Sandra Clark of Felicity, OH, Joy Kay Land of Cincinnati, OH, Millie Greene of Pinellas Park, FL, Barbara Jo Davis of Bethel, OH, and Kimberly Griffith of Amelia, OH; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knecht will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Indian Hill Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at Indian Hill Cemetery in Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Sumter County or the Alzheimer’s Association.
