Kenneth Harry Keyes was born 23 Nov 1921 in Evanston, Uinta, Wyoming to Harry Keyes and Sarah Elsie (Smethurst) Keyes. During the Great Depression Kenneth joined Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) and was stationed in Saratoga Wyoming where he worked on building projects for the national park and forest services.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a truck driver. He participated in the Red Ball Express. He received a Purple Heart.

While in England, he met and later married Pamela Mary Landricombe. They had a son, Allen Michael Keyes, born 21 Jan 1948. They later divorced and Allen lived with his mother in Portland, Oregon.

Kenneth moved back to Evanston, Wyoming where he met and married Bernice Robertson, 17 Jun 1950. They had a son Ronald Kent Keyes, 27 Jul 1951 and a daughter Marilyn Kay Keyes, 17 Jun 1954.

Kenneth worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Southwest Wyoming and Northeast Utah until his retirement. His work exposed him to asbestos which eventually led to lung cancer and his death on 10 Nov 1998 at the age of 76.
