Services for Howard C. Barnes, 64, of 1317 4th Ave., Rock Island, who died Tuesday, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wheelan Funeral Home.
Dr. John W. Collins, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Rock Island. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Barnes was born in Ely, Mo. He married Dorothy Carrol Oct. 9, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo. She died in August 1966.
He had lived in Rock Island and Milan for the past 40 years. He had been employed as a car inspector for the Rock Island Lines for 27 years, retiring in 1967.
He has no immediate survivors.
