Melvin T. Ackiss of Richmond died Friday, August 23, 1985. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adell C. Ackiss; stepson, Leroy John Thomas, Sr.; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn A. Jordan; one son, Melvin T. Ackiss, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Benge, Annie Johannis and Amy Clinksdale; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
His remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, 3rd and Marshall Streets, where services will be held on Monday, at 2PM. Interment, Maury Cemetery.
