Mr. Geo. hunter died at Carlinville on the 20th. He was at one time a member of the state board of equalization. He served during the late war, was a captain of company A, 7th Illinois infantry, and at the close of the war resumed the practice of law. He was an influential and highly respected citizen, and leaves a wife and several children.
