HUBERT'S OBITUARY
Mr. Hubert James Brooks, age 90 of Snead, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Albert Select Rehab.
He is survived by his wife – Mildred Ruth Brooks of Snead; his son and daughter-in-law – Marlin and Pat Brooks of Grayson Valley; his grandchildren – Amy Bonner (Brian), Angela Ivey, Craig Brooks (Kristi), and Kristy Shigley (Len); his step-grandchildren – Gretchen Nunnally (Max) and Jason Crowe; 10 great grandchildren; sisters – Gladys Pearl Brown (Melvin) of Gadsden, AL and Doris Jean Miller (James E.) of Starkville, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his daughter – Linda Couch; his parents – Earnest Elmer and Willie Mae (Wagnon) Brooks; and his siblings and their spouses; Elmer Kline Brooks (Ophelia), Joseph Elwood Brooks (Evelyn), Olga Henry Brooks (Wilma Jean), Lebert Levoy Brooks, and Allie Louise Ely Marshall (Bob).
Brother John Gaines will conduct the Funeral Service on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at Antioch Church of Christ in Snead. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Brooks will Lie-In-Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Monday from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM.
Pallbearers will be – Craig Brooks, Brian Bonner, Luke Bonner, Christian Ivey, Len Shigley, and Tommy Nunn.
